Cronycle UX Lead

We are looking for an intelligent, thoughtful problem solver who can guide the user experience through research and design whilst providing oversight during the user interface implementation phases with the visual designers and software developers for Web and mobile platforms (iOS, Android)

Working directly with the product manager and developers, you will shape ideas and create user flows, wireframes and prototypes for new and existing features. You will oversee design reviews and ensure a rigorous UX process is applied within the team.

Required skills and experience:

  • Experience working in an iterative, agile environment
  • Ability to develop a library of UI patterns
  • Be comfortable with a range of activities from conceiving ideas, validating ideas, developing prototypes to crafting documentation (scenarios, wireframes, flows)
  • Have the ability to prepare prototypes for discussion or testing
  • This is a senior role. You must have a minimum of 5 years of UX design experience producing engaging, usable, and effective design solutions.
  • Familiar with human-centred design (HCD) principles to develop solutions with deep understanding of customer problems
  • Familiar with prototyping tools such as Axure RP, JustInMind (Desktop/Web), InVision (Mobile)

Nice to have:

  • A degree in Interaction Design, Industrial Design, Graphic Design, or similar field related to Human-Computer Interaction is desired
  • Copywriting experience
  • An interest in social media
  • Experience in conducting in-person user studies, other research methodologies

We already launched our early product and now that Cronycle has the momentum of the market, our next phase is to truly take cronycle product to every desktop and mobile user. Cronycle product has been highly commended in all forms of media and really do wish to grow within that space.

To support us with this expansion, we’ll be glad to have you on board and offer you a position working alongside our marketing/product senior team and developing new skills in the digital marketing arena.

Main purpose and scope of the job

As a hands-on marketer, you will have the opportunity to build, deliver, and coordinate innovative marketing campaigns and other cost-effective activities and tactics that will drive Cronycle awareness, customer acquisition, retention and boost revenue conversion. In this role, you’ll be looking at some variety and a sense of ownership, in a fast-paced environment as well gaining ambitions to grow within the role and claim it.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support the development of the overall marketing strategy
  • Liaise with designers, developers and product/marketing colleagues, for the design and delivery of supporting PR/marketing materials including website, press release, partner deck and more
  • Coordinate PR activities including the management of a PR freelancer, events applications, speaking opportunities and awards applications
  • Support and optimise a comprehensive CRM program to maintain user engagement and conversion
  • Co-ordinate the creation of content initiatives dedicated to social networks, relevant websites and the blogosphere
  • Gain great insights and understanding of the Cronycle segments. Optimise current targeted activities and recommend additional ideas to reach out to them
  • Monitor and report on marketing performance and user activity, and act upon this intelligence
  • Support and optimise a comprehensive CRM program to maintain user engagement and conversion (eg, Intercom, Highrise, Hubspot etc)

Areas of development / mentoring:

  • Co-ordinate and test digital acquisition/retention campaigns across several channels (including online advertising, paid search, social media ads, affiliate networks, etc)
  • Increase visibility of Cronycle brand and drive incremental traffic through organic search engine optimisation (SEO) and backlink creation
  • Support & Mentoring from Marketing Exec & CPO

Required skills set and experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (in Marketing is a plus)
  • Digital experience
  • Excellent copywriting and oral English skills
  • Data driven with a test and learn mind-set
  • Good project and time management skills
  • Ability to cope with under pressure and work on tight deadlines, in a fast-moving environment
  • Confidence with numbers
  • Committed, enthusiastic
  • An interest in content in a plus
  • A self-starting personality that’s comfortable working autonomously
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and familiarity with wordpress
  • Experience of social media management, google analytics and email program is a plus
  • Working knowledge of Photoshop or any design application is a plus

The perfect candidate will have had a directed career path through different backend languages e.g. Ruby and be looking to expand to knowledge + drive technologies such as GO/Erlang/Scala into the organisation. You still need to be an expert Ruby Developer

Experience

You will come from a development background, and ideally have some start-up exposure. You will be able to demonstrate your experience with a strong portfolio of work and the ability to communicate your thinking clearly and articulately.

You will have proven track record of delivering major projects from early concepts to successful delivery and driving new technologies/trends.

Knowledge and skills:

  • Experience working in Golang

  • Linux / Bash is a taken
